Our Shining Stars
The Eastern Nebraska Veteran's Home at 40th and Capehart, has 30 men and women in the Assisted Living area. The home is comprised of men, women and spouses, who have served our country. One of the goals of the home is to help our veterans live their lives to the fullest. This year our guild will quilt 30 lap quilts, and sew 30 presentation bags to give to the veterans, who are in assisted living.
In order to accomplish this goal, we will distribute a star block pattern each month, and ask that each month you contribute one or more blocks that will be incorporated into a lap quilt. This is the year to raid the stash that you have saved for 20 years. This is the year to make a difference in the lives of these veterans and have fun in the process.
