Holiday fun with Blooming Minds (workshop)
Our favorite red head Lynn Doyle will be here to make us laugh and show us what’s new in her Blooming Mind. She will be doing a trunk show for our meeting, and for $25.00 which includes lunch and snacks, you can spend the day with her. Lynn will have kits available for you to buy, or you can bring a Blooming Minds UFO and she can help you with it

Fabric Dying with Alice Cruz of “Dellajane Hand Dyes” (workshop)
Alice will do a Trunk show/ Lecture on “What a Long Strange Trip It’s Been” she will show use quilts and talk about how she started quilting, and where she is now. Her workshop will be a Color Wheel work shop and each woman will die 5 yards of fabric.

Appliqué with Kandi Gallup of “Bee Creek Quilt Company” (workshop)
We all saw Kandi’s new Quilt “Eternal Spring” at our May meeting. She will have that pattern and many more at the trunk show. At the workshop Kandi will show you how to do prepared appliqué while making a beautiful Rose.

Hand Quilting
Some of our wonderful and talented guild members will help the rest of us practice hand Quilting. Bring an orphan block or whole cloth sandwich and we will have a quilting B while we get back in touch after the holidays. If you have a hand quilted quilt bring it.

Get ready for Shop Hop with Claus’en Paus (workshop)
One of the newest stores from last years Shop Hop will come and tell us about the surprises for this years Shop Hop. Sisters Carlene Clausen & Steva Jo Paus will also show us what they have to offer at their store in Columbus. In the morning workshop we will learn the technique for making a dimensional star burst table runner A Claus’en Paus Exclusive pattern

Civil War Quilts and History with Maureen Ose
The Civil War started on April 12th 1861. These war quilts are 150 years old. Maureen comes from the International Quilts Study Center & Museum. She will be doing a power point presentation with lots of pictures but no real quilts. We would love to see all the reproduction quilts our guild members have made.

Sanitation Commission Quilts with Don Beld (workshop)
Don is a Quilt Historian and Hand piecer and quilter. He is the Creator of the “Home of the Brave” Program. He is an expert on Sanitation Commission Quilts and has a book that is due out in April. The workshop will be on how to make Potholder blocks (a Civil War era Community Service Quilting method) for inclusion in the National Iraq and Afghanistan fallen heroes Quilt. Be part of history. Contribute a block for this important national quilt.
